Well, A Wonderful Woman Has Ceased To Be In This Earthly Battle, And Has, As The Late Great Mahalia Jackson Would Sing,, "Move On Up A Little Higher. Words, Time, And Space Would Not Allow To Note The Magnificent Life That She Lived, And The People That She Impacted On Her "101" Year Journey. I Thank The LORD For Her Children Melvin/His Wife, And Mary Who Were There For Her Until Her Time Expired. Yes, Each of Us Have An Expiration Date, An Appointment That Cannot Be Cancelled . . . Hebrews 9:27. She Loved, Served, And Gave Abundantly To Others, Even When Unpopular, And Challenging For People of Color, She Enlisted And Served In The United States Military During WW II, As Well As Her Late Husband Louis D. Bibbs. Yes, We All Loved Our Aunt Lillian, And Will Forever Remember Her. You See, We Were Fortunate, She Came From A Family of "20" Siblings, And Now Aunt Barbara (The Baby, "85" Is The Last Survivor of Her Siblings). Today, I Am Full, And Not Absent of Words To Express My Love of Aunt Lillian, But I Do "Know" That As The Old Folks Would Say, "You Can't Tell It All", And You Know What, That's The Truth. To All My Family, Love And Abundant Blessings . . . PS: I Almost Feel Like I've Abused The Comment Section By Being So Lengthy! Eld. C.D. Knowles (Ducky) Los Angeles, California

Sis. Lillian Howell Bibbs’ tent has been folded up and put away; she now occupies her heavenly house promised and built by her God which she steadfastly served her entire life (2 Cor 5:1). Glory to God. Bibbs family, you have my sincere condolences; I will pray for you during this season. I pray that while you accordingly mourn her passing, you also celebrate her love and a well lived life. She dedicated her life and living to her Lord and Savior, her family, her church. and her community. Thanks be to God. We have so many fond memories of Sis. Bibbs. I can see her standing on her usher post in the aisle of Greater Cleaves with her arm extended. Her broad smile was as white as her dress, gloves, and shoes. She conveyed the spirit of welcome and love. And, just as Mother Howell taught and poured into her, Sister Bibbs taught and poured into us. I can hear her calling me by name, “JohnJr” in a tone appropriate for a greeting, instruction, redirection, question, … Thank you Lord. You, your children’s grandchildren, and a host of others like me have been blessed. You obeyed the commandment to honor your mother and father, and you were diligent a mighty long time. God bless you. Last, there’s a gathering of family and folk like family from McCurtain County, aka God’s Country, who have been celebrating THE homecoming of Sister Lillian H. Bibbs to the Promised Land and her home built by God. “I’m Glad, Glad…” God is Good, Prayerfully, John Jr.
