My beloved "Uncle" Vernon!....We Have a lot of history together!....you were a favorate personal friend of my father your brother (William Harrison) and as my Uncle, Most respected and beloved. As a child, I was always tutured in music,singing, raised in the tridition to honor my Grandmother,Elders, and to embrace the rich heritage and culture of "Family" and being "Family" Oriented..You gave us a sense of community,how to love one another, how to be our brother's keeper, and most of all to love "God".& Family!...I remember all of the occasions of listning to you play the trumpet,saxaphone,singing, laughing,preaching,teaching,showing and watching the family movies of our rich family history...You impressed in your children and nieces and nephews the skills and tools we needed to embrace and enhance our family and family values...you taught me personally that it was human for a man to make mistakes and to pursue to be "Better" to be humble, forgiving and a deep sense of love and to love our Grandmother and each other....You loved "All" of your children and was never afraid to admit that to me personally!....and your devotion to your wife was an enduring "Memory" of love and true devotion....your were Faithful in your devotion to Jesus and his tenents in you and your families life!...and you were Magnificent in your care and devotion to you mother , Grandmother "Luellla"... All of my child hood memories, you and your family were there at every corner....and there's will be nor has ever been a woman as your wife!....her love for you and us all were "Impecable" without reproach !....I remember your friendship with all of your brothers,nephews,and sisters!.....Oh...all of those fun times we all shared....You and Uncle Melvin,William, We Called the "Dream Team"...The facts bear out!....As Uncle Henry told me....Aunt Charlotte said and her children spoke of you to me when I was a teenager....I hope as our family moves forward, that we give great honor and pay homage to your name and memory!....I will always love you Uncle Vernon!....And as I've seen the New Jerusalem, that 1,400 square mile city half the size of the U.S... The Street Called "Straight" paved in Gold...you'll see before me!.....Well get the chance to spend some more time together, I look forward to visiting you in your Mansion!....and we'll talk about how we made it over!.....until then!....(See, See)....See you soon !....
