I was so sorry to hear the passing of "Miss" Jessie. Our family lived next to the Jessies, and she became a "grandmother figure to the entire Douglas family. My heart is heavy since hearing of Aunt Pee's passing. I grew up with her and Brother Jessie at the old Mt. Olive Baptist church from 5 yrs old until I was 29. She saw me thru all my milestones.We sang tenor together / got in trouble for talking in choir practice. I moved to Houston in 1979. But never forgot about her, kept up about her thru my sister Candy Murrell. My condolences to you in the loss of this treasure.
