To the family of Sister Ira Joan Mitchell: We the members of the historic Tabernacle Baptist Church Usher Board Ministry extend to you our sincere condolences, love, and prayers. We are thankful to our Heavenly Father for having known Sister Mitchell. Sister Mitchell and her family have been members of Tabernacle Baptist Church over 70 years, serving faithfully from the Old Tabernacle located at 515 N.E. Third Street at Byers Avenue under Reverend E.W. Perry and Reverend E.J. Perry to the present edifice at 1829 N.E. 36th Street. Sister Mitchell served faithfully on the Tabernacle Usher Board for several decades and at one time was the Usher Board President. Sister Mitchell was very instrumental in the early day establishment of the Citywide Ushers and their relationship with Tabernacle. We will cherish the beautiful memories of Sister Mitchell and her dedication to our congregation. Sister Margaret Mitchell Clytus we love you and are here for you. May God Bless and Keep You is Our Prayer!
