To Joyce and the entire family, may God bless you as you endure the loss of your love one. Oliver was a good friend and classmate. I went to school with Oliver, Strip as we called him from 1964-1974. We started together in the seventh grade and went all the way through junior high (NEJHS), high school (NESHS), and through college (Langston University) together. We participated in sports and had lots of laughs together. What I remember the most about Strip is that he had a humorous personality and he was very funny and would always make you laugh. He was always a sharp dresser, dapper and clean. It didn't matter what the occasion was, casual or professional he would always be clean on the scene.

Our regards and condolences to the Stripling family: I have known Oliver for a much extended time. I witnessed his growth and development as an individual, colleague, educator, and administrator within the Oklahoma City Public School District. Our families were two generational friends, being that our dads were good acquaintances and my brother; Craig and Oliver were classmates from the seventh grade at Northeast High school all the way through College at Langston University. My most treasured memory of Oliver was his friendly, sociable, and gracious smile notwithstanding the situation or circumstance. Without a doubt he was the liveliest person in the room and you enjoyed the dialogue and banter with him. God chose a good one to return home. May he rest in peace!
