My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to all friends and family. I worked closely with Mr. Hill the last 2 years and remember him fondly from when I was his student. We as the Langston community have lost a true legend and the hole he has left on campus is unfathomable. I am still in shock. He was a great man. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Professor Hill was my 10th grade Geometry instructor at Clarksdale High School. He was filling in for our teacher because she was out of school for about 4 months due to something beyond her control. However, when she returned almost the end of the semester we wasn't excited because we had gotten use to Professor Hill method of teaching which was superb! He later introduced me into (DECA)"Distributive Education Clubs Of America B.K.A. CO-OP I AND CO-OP Il. I am really thankful to have met Professor Hill. He was the greatest and his love for math would never go unnoticed! May God Bless You And Keep His Family! Clarksdale High School, Clarksdale, MS: Class Of 2000!

I always look forward to seeing Professor Hill and Dr Peterson, they were such lights in my life as a student at Langston. He was always so insightful and easy to talk to with all of my dilemmas. I remember as a freshmen and the first week I was ready to go home and he told me to hold out one more week, knowing i would stay and come back to him with an update. Next week turned into years and graduating. I appreciate all the humor and love he showed everyone including me. He actually cared about your well being and has helped me on several occasions. He will always hold a place in my heart and be remembered for all of his kindness and care. May we all cherish the memories and love he left and lift his family in prayer, until we meet again.

I am still in disbelief that Tony is no longer in our presence here at LU; but, I am comforted in knowing that he is in the presence of the Lord. Tony has etched in our hearts what it means to be a caring person. For students and faculty alike, he was always doing whatever he could to show that he cares. Whether telling a joke, making us smile, or offering words of encouragement, he was there for us. And, I offer my deepest sympathies to the family. We’ll miss him dearly.

He was always able to make you laugh, even when you may not have wanted to. His brilliance in teaching math to his students was amazing. He really connected with them and took the time needed to get them to learn. Langston University Has truly lost one of the greatest faculty they have had in the math department and overall campus. Dr. Hill was one of the few and only teachers who actually cared about his students at Langston. When my brother passed away 5 yrs ago he got me a sympathy card and had the whole class sign it for me. That mean’t a lot to me and I’ll never forget it. He was so funny, charismatic, and hardworking. Thank you Dr. Hill for being you. R.I.P
