I would like to give my deepest condolences to the whole family so sorry for your loss, losing a love one is a very hard thing to deal with but what I would like to do is share theses scriptures with the family, I believe that Gods word can bring comfort and hope , here at Revelation 21:3,4 gives you that promise that all these things will be done away with and John 5:28,29 gives you that promise that you will get to see your love one again may these scriptures bring comfort to the family you are in our prayers.
