We both referred to our nationally acclaimed advisor, Clara Luper, as "Aunt Clara." Lana was a proud member of the Douglass High School Class of 1970, and she was also one of the " 13 Original Sit-Inners" in the historic 1958 "Sit-In Movement." In fact, she and her big sister, Ayana, along with the other "Sit-Inners" were at the heart of the recent 60th Anniversary Celebration held approximately one week before her demise. Our prayers will continue to be with her brother, Greggory, Ayana, and the entire Pogue/Shaw Family.
