We can not do everything and there is comfort knowing this. This permits us to do something and to do it very well. It may be incomplete but it is a beginning, a step along the way - an opportunity for the Lord's grace to enter and do the rest. We may never see the end results as that is the difference between the worker and the Master Builder. We are workers not the Master Builder. Minsters not the Messiah. We are Prophets of a future not our own. Rick has served the Master Builder well and now is at rest knowing he made us all better people.

Sometimes if Richie or I were tied up, Granddaddy would take them to their games or practices and he loved it. There was nothing that man wouldn't do to help someone out. In the 23 years I've known him, I truly don't think I've ever seen him in a bad mood. I could go on and on. I will forever miss his laugh and hugs. I always did a half hug while leaning my head on his shoulder and patting his back, everytime. I hope Jace and Blakely never forget their Granddaddy. I hope they never forget the awesome pointers and tips he would give them after games. He always told them to "play hard", no matter what.

I will miss you so much Rick. I selfishly would rather have you here with us, but I know you are loving it up there, reunited with your family and Kendra. We love you and miss you ♡♡♡
