My deepest sympathy to Roderick’s family. Roderick was a simple man with simple needs. His heart and love for others always inspired me. I loved his stories and his compassionate heart. No matter what his personal situation was, he was always helping others. One time Roderick was leaving work and came across a naked man walking down the street, it was a very cold day. He stopped, provided clothes from his truck, and then shared his shoes. and a coat. I asked him why and he said - he needed them more than I do. I was lucky enough to see Roderick a few weeks ago as he walked through St Anthony’s. We shared stories, caught up with life, always working multiple jobs, great smile, and apparently laughed for the last time. There is no other Roderick, he will be missed.
