May you feel his loving presence. My sincerest condolences goes to the family for your loss. Please have some comfort in the resurrection hope at Acts 24:15. God also promises to do away with death forever at Isa. 25:8. I will keep you in my prayers.

Considering the circumstances, it was a pleasure getting to know you Donald. One thing no one can ever doubt is a Son's Love. Your father would be proud. I pray your strength during this time, and I pray that God is able to fill any void that your dad's absence may have left. But know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Peace and Blessings, From the Staff!

We KNOW God WILL care for and comfort the family during this very difficult time -- He'll do it for ALL since He created Wendell as 'one of a kind'! . . . and will always be DHS William Perry's 'Master Trombonist'! ;-)

I had to share this 'light' story about Wendell . . . often he joked and referred to GM (where he was one of their TOP engineers) as "Generous Motors" with that 'one of a kind' smile. ;-) The only American cars I always bought were GM -- HS had a Chevy Bel Air (actually parents bought that one) . . . a Pontiac GTO last year of college . . . and his memorable 'gift' to me for my 1st sales job (so I could arrive "in style" as he said) was an Olds Toronado, compliments of "Generous Motors"! . . . he selflessly used one of his 'perks' to help launch early on my successful sales career; and, I'll always remember not only GM's 'generosity', but Wendell's -- 'fav' cousin of all of us!

In keeping with Steve's 'light' theme, I have a memorable story about Wendell, too. Once when he visited, we picked him up at the airport. He complained about the horrible airline meal and asked if we could stop and get something for dinner (of course he used his AMEX to pay). We drove into Washington, DC; went to our favorite BBQ joint for take out (not like those in OKC tho as Steve would always say); while driving to our apartment in Virginia, Wendell said, ". . . let me see how GOOD this BBQ is in DC . . ."; he ate one bone from the two racks we ordered; Steve was focused on driving and I was talking 'non-stop' with Wendell (while he ate one ... then two ... three ... four, etc.); and to our surprise -- when we got home he was FULL!!! Guess that OKC 'Q' finally met it's match in DC!

Rita, Don and Mark, When I look at Wendell's picture above, although I'm sad that he has passed, I'm also at peace with it since his always genuine smile (like above and the last one I saw when Chris Stevenson visited him in Houston this Spring) just resonates with my heart and so many great memories we'll cherish. Again, it's sad, but there's also so much JOY knowing he was a follower/believer; and, God, as always, kept His promise -- Wendell's now with family, friends and ALL of His Holy Saints rejoicing in Eternal Life! God Bless all of you and be with you this weekend when you say "Goodbye" with all who loved your great husband and father.
