Dr. Kilgore was always unselfish and willing to share his gift of music. About twenty years ago I asked him on short notice to play at my wedding, when he finished I tried to pay him and he would not let me, the wedding was in a small country church but one of my inlaws had a community garden there, kenneth pointed to the garden which was full of collard and mustard greens and asked us just to fill up his trunk with them. We did and he headed off down the dirt road with his trunk full. Years later I saw him and thanked him for sharing his gift. He told me that my wedding was one of the few that took! I told him it must have been the greens and his piano playing! He and his cheerful giving of his gift will be missed
